Adult Mental Health First Aid

2 days

Who’s it for?

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis; it won’t teach you to be a therapist, but will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis.  To date, over 206,000 people have taken an MHFA course, whilst statistics show that one in four people in the UK will experience at least one diagnosable mental health issue in any one year.

Mental Health First Aid is for everybody!

  • A deep understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing, including your own

  • Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues

  • Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress

  • Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening

  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to appropriate support

We can also help employers set up a workplace program to ensure that Mental Health First Aiders are adequately supported; better mental health means less absenteeism and a happy healthy workforce!

All delegates will be issued with a MHFA England manual and a certificate of attendance.

Please contact us to book or for details of any open courses running in your area.
